Privacy Policy

Overview

VibeCheck is a facial-appearance feedback app for users aged 18 or older, operated by SP SWE SERVICES LTD. It provides subjective facial-feature assessments, explanations, recommendations, and progress comparisons. It does not identify or authenticate people and does not provide medical, dermatological, psychological, diagnostic, health, or human-worth assessments.

Information We Process

  • Assessment photos: A guided assessment uses one front selfie and one side-profile selfie of the same consenting adult. We do not scan or upload your photo library.
  • On-device guidance: During a guided face scan, temporary face position, orientation, and basic face-geometry information help with framing, lighting, face count, and photo quality. They stay on your device and are not uploaded.
  • Assessment results: We process the scores, explanations, recommendations, report status, dates, and preview needed to provide your assessment and comparisons.
  • App and support information: We process a random app identifier, entitlement status, basic app and device information, product-use events, an optional notification token if you enable assessment-ready notifications, and the information you provide when contacting support.
  • Purchase information: Apple and RevenueCat process purchase and subscription entitlement information. We do not receive your full payment-card details.

Guided Face Scan and TrueDepth Data

On supported iPhones, VibeCheck temporarily processes face position, orientation, and basic face-geometry information to guide the camera and select clear assessment photos. This guidance data stays on your device, is not stored after the scan ends, and is not sent to OpenAI, analytics providers, advertising partners, or marketing partners.

This guidance data is used only to operate the guided face scan. It is not used to identify or authenticate you, create advertising profiles, or market to you. After you agree in the app, VibeCheck sends the two selected assessment photos — not the temporary scan-guidance data — to OpenAI to provide the facial-feature assessment you request.

How We Use Information

  • To run assessments and provide reports, previews, and progress comparisons.
  • To operate purchases, subscriptions, restoration, and assessment limits.
  • To keep VibeCheck reliable, prevent misuse, improve the product, and respond to support, privacy, and deletion requests.
  • To measure product use and marketing performance using Apple’s platform privacy controls.

AI Processing and Sharing

Selected front and side selfies are sent to OpenAI only after you agree in the app. OpenAI is our third-party AI provider and processes those photos to carry out technical photo checks and the facial-feature assessment you request. OpenAI API data is not used to train OpenAI models by default.

We also share information with Apple and RevenueCat to process purchases and manage entitlements; product analytics providers to understand app use and reliability; and marketing measurement partners to measure attribution and conversions. On iOS, Apple’s tracking-permission controls govern access to tracking identifiers. We do not send photos, face geometry, scores, trait labels, report text, or recommendations to analytics or marketing partners.

We may disclose information where required by law or to protect the security, rights, or safety of VibeCheck, its users, or others. We require each third party with which VibeCheck shares user data to provide the same or equal protection described in this Privacy Policy and required by applicable law.

Retention

  • Submitted assessment photos: Kept no longer than necessary to process the assessment and no later than 24 hours after submission.
  • Reports and previews: Kept until you delete your VibeCheck data.
  • On-device comparison photos: Kept locally on your device until you delete your VibeCheck data or uninstall the app.
  • On-device guidance data: Temporary and discarded after the guided scan or photo checking; it is not uploaded.
  • OpenAI: Under OpenAI's standard API policy, customer content may be retained in abuse-monitoring logs for up to 30 days, subject to legal requirements and applicable controls.

We may retain limited information for longer where needed for security, fraud prevention, legal obligations, or to resolve a request. Other providers may retain information under their own applicable retention policies.

Your Choices and Rights

  • You can stop before submission if you do not want the selected photos sent to VibeCheck and OpenAI.
  • You can manage notification permissions in the app or iOS Settings. Apple’s tracking-permission controls are managed in iOS Settings.
  • You can use Settings → Delete all VibeCheck data to request deletion of app-held reports, previews, identity records, and local files.
  • You can manage or cancel a subscription in your Apple Account settings. Deleting data or uninstalling the app does not cancel a subscription.
  • Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or restriction of processing of your personal information.
