Privacy Policy

Overview

VibeCheck is an adult-only facial-appearance feedback app operated by SP SWE SERVICES LTD. It provides subjective feature scores, explanations, cosmetic self-improvement recommendations, and progress comparisons. It does not identify people and does not provide medical, dermatological, psychological, health, or human-worth assessments.

Information We Process

  • Photos you choose: A guided assessment captures a front and side view of the same consenting adult. We do not scan or upload your photo library.
  • On-device face checks: Apple Vision checks face count, framing, landmarks, lighting, and capture quality on your device. Landmark coordinates are not sent with the assessment request.
  • Assessment data: We process feature scores, submetrics, rationales, recommendations, report status, and dates needed to provide and compare your reports.
  • Anonymous account data: The app assigns a random identifier used to link your reports, entitlement, deletion requests, and product analytics. No email account is required.
  • Purchases: Apple and RevenueCat process subscription and entitlement information. We do not receive your full payment-card details.
  • Product analytics: We use PostHog for essential product events such as onboarding, paywall, purchase, and reliability events. These events may include the anonymous identifier, app/build information, device class, locale country code, time zone, and error or funnel-stage codes.
  • Optional marketing measurement: If you opt in, selected conversion events and SDK device or attribution data may be processed by AppsFlyer and Meta. iOS tracking permission is requested where required.
  • Optional notifications: If you enable assessment-ready notifications, an Expo push token is linked to your anonymous identifier for delivery.
  • Support: We process the email and information you choose to send when you contact support.

How We Use Information

  • To run the assessment and deliver your report, plan, and progress comparisons.
  • To operate subscriptions, purchases, restoration, and assessment limits.
  • To keep the service reliable, diagnose failures, prevent misuse, and improve the product.
  • To measure marketing performance when you have enabled optional marketing analytics.
  • To answer support, privacy, and deletion requests.

Photo Processing and Retention

After you consent, the selected front and side photos are resized and sent to VibeCheck's backend and OpenAI to perform technical preflight and generate the assessment. OpenAI requests use its no-storage API option, but OpenAI may retain API inputs for up to 30 days for abuse monitoring depending on the production account's data controls. OpenAI does not use API data to train its models by default.

VibeCheck encrypts raw upload records. They expire within 24 hours and are normally cleared earlier after successful or terminal processing. Technical job records expire after a limited period. Completed reports and their derived assessment data remain until you use full data deletion.

Comparison copies of the front and side photos are stored only on your device, excluded from backup, and protected by iOS file protection. They remain until you remove them, delete all VibeCheck data, or uninstall the app.

Analytics Boundaries

Photos, image bytes, on-device facial landmarks, individual scores, trait labels, report text, and recommendations are not sent to PostHog, AppsFlyer, Meta, or RevenueCat as analytics properties. Optional marketing analytics can be changed in Settings. Turning it off stops future optional marketing measurement; provider-held attribution data may remain under the provider's own retention rules.

Service Providers

We use providers including OpenAI for assessment processing; Upstash Redis and QStash for encrypted processing, storage, and queues; RevenueCat and Apple for purchases; PostHog for product analytics; Expo and Apple for optional notifications; AppsFlyer and Meta for optional attribution; and hosting providers for app and website operation. Their processing is limited to the services they provide to us and is subject to their applicable terms and privacy commitments.

What We Do Not Do

  • We do not use facial recognition to identify or authenticate you.
  • We do not upload your full photo library.
  • We do not sell your photos.
  • We do not send facial photos or facial-analysis results to advertising partners.
  • We do not knowingly provide the app to anyone under 18.

Your Choices and Deletion

  • You can stop before submitting if you do not want the selected photos sent to VibeCheck and OpenAI.
  • You can change optional marketing analytics and notification permissions.
  • You can remove on-device comparison photos while retaining reports.
  • You can use Settings → Delete all VibeCheck data to request deletion of app-held reports, identity, local files, PostHog profile data, and the RevenueCat customer record. Provider retention and legal or fraud-prevention exceptions may still apply.
  • Deleting VibeCheck data or uninstalling the app does not cancel an Apple subscription. Manage cancellation in your Apple Account settings.
